The Vassago Jabberwocky frame will be delivered on Friday. The wheels arrived yesterday from SpeedGoat. The (slow, I hope) build begins.

Valentine's day for a Biker

-he says it's mostly 26-inch full suspension bikes by Trek and Specialized.

Currently: eagerly waiting for the arrival of a Vassago Army Green 29-inch steel singlespeed.

OS Bikes Blackbuck

He's been looking at this bike frame for a year or so. Only pictures on the internet though. The story of this frame: one of the WTB founders designed the steel, single-speed frame. He had it shipped this week from California. On Wednesday afternoon it arrived and he put it together and rode it that night. The beauty of single speeds -- you don't have to mess with derailleurs. The picture really isn't that great...but you get the idea. It is steel, rigid with a carbon fork, single speed, and curvy seat stays.

The Current Debate

Whether to sell the Niner R.I.P. 9 and ride the fully rigid S.I.R. 9 Niner or keep the Niner R.I.P. 9. I'll replace the borrowed images with actual pictures this weekend. The "Steel is Real" SIR is equiped with a Surly Karate Monkey fork. I'm pretty sure "we" have owned four or five Karate Monkey forks throughout the fully rigid ride debate.
